Burn, baby burn
If that isn't appetizing, I don't know what is.
"Disco Inferno" has been in my head allll day. I'm going to a show tonight, so maybe that'll help get it out. I had a short workout today (2 miles) BUT it was really productive because the "director of the fitness center" approached me and asked if I wanted to talk about weight training or anything else. I told him I was training for the marathon, and he said he'd give me a comprehensive training plan as well as lists of mapped and measured routes from the cross country team. Sweet! He said I should find out whether the 2009 marathon is on a Saturday or a Sunday, and make that my "long run" day. If that's tomorrow, I better take it easy tonight!
I had a cafeteria lunch of couscous with dried fruit (with coconut, peanuts, cilantro, chili sauce and a little banana curry), salad (spinach, chick peas, peas, roasted veggies, tomatoes, cottage cheese, radishes, balsamic and oil) and a piece of teriyaki tofu. Pretty satisfying, overall.
A glass of milk:
I tried honestly, valiantly to resist it, but since Kath gushed about "hello dollies" (which I've only known as "magic bars") yesterday I couldn't ignore the craving and I had one for dessert.
We made a big grocery run and got everything except a pepper mill (the cheapest was $10!). I got a carton of chocolate milk, but was very disappointed when I saw that it had high fructose corn syrup. There is no reason that should be in milk!
