Jack Frost nipping at my nose...

... and my ears, had I not forgotten to take my hat when I went out this morning. It is COLD! But what better to warm up with than freshly baked cookies? Sarah made oatmeal/craisin/chocolate chunk last night. They were heavenly. And heaven is just where the poor wooden spoon will rest.

They were so delicious. For the record, cranberry + chocolate = bliss.

Carlye made me a pretty rainbow picture to enjoy with my cookie:

Sarah also made these Bake With Me gluten-free brownies from Arrowhead Mills. You have to try these out if only for the instructions on the back of the box... they're so cute!

The brownies were fantastic. They have warm and melty chocolate chips in the center, so they have that fudgy home-baked taste.

The treats went perfectly with the indulgence that is Gossip Girl... we had a mini-marathon and watched some episodes from Season 1. Remember when Nate and Blair were dating? Oh, the good ole days...

I was so excited to have waffles for breakfast I only pressed snooze twice (ha). I only had a nonfat peach fruit-on-the-bottom yogurt left, so I actually didn't need to use honey (but I did anyway). I topped the waffles with banana and walnuts as well... Parfait!

Time to caffeinate and pump out this last paper... Have a great Thursday!

Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey!

A girl at my sleep-away camp used to shout that in the mornings, right after the bugle sounded (yes, we got woken up with a bugle).

There weren't actually any eggs... I didn't want to wake Jalene up with the smell.

Last night I got hungry around 11, so I had a bowl of Oatmeal Squares and a Wheetabix biscuit with skim milk:

Eggs they're not: waffles with Greek yogurt, pumpkin, walnuts and honey:

And a big, juicy Sunkist orange.

I ate breakfast around 7, and wouldn't you just guess that I got right back into bed and fought with the snooze button?

FINALLY, Sarah and I went to Brewberry's. I got a skim au lait with a shot of espresso. Don't you just love her cardigan?

I made a list of all the things that need to get done before I go home (on the 12th). Time to get on that!

Refresh, refresh

Although it took me forever to fall asleep (like, post 2 AM), I feel pretty good this morning. Being home is so nice! And since I didn't bring any schoolwork with me, I can just relax, guilt-free. What's better than that?

Last night I was a little snacky around midnight (how, after all that food, I just don't know), so I had an apple. And yes, I still sleep with a teddy.

We all slept in this morning (a rarity for my madre, but she's been feeling a little sniffly) so it felt just like a Sunday morning.

I had a cup of this green with ginger tea:

Kashi Honey Oat waffles with 3 oz 0% Fage, 1/2 banana, cinnamon and Vermont maple syrup.

I'm back in bed again... this is such a luxury! And I can stream the Current off iTunes! My mom and I are going to be making a very special cake later, so keep your eyes peeled!
