Back on the saddle

Hello and happy Thursday! I hope everyone's having a fabulous day. Mine's been going pretty well so far... I went to the gym, had a yummy lunch... what more could a girl ask for?

Last night before bed I had the other half of my Zone chocolate almond bar... it didn't grow on me at all. Yuck.

I slept in until 10:30 today, which was g-l-o-r-i-o-u-s. I had a hard time falling asleep last night, so the extra hours felt great.

I woke up and had a packet of maple sugar instant oatmeal and an apple. I bought four Galas last night, and I've already eaten three of them!

I went into Manhattan to meet up with George. He kindly offered me guest passes to his gym, and I can use them the whole time I'm home! Woohoo!

I stopped at Au Bon Pain and got a small coffee to go (3/4 Morning Blend, 1/4 Hazelnut with a skim milk):

My workout was GREAT. It's been exactly a month since I last went to the doctor for my stress fracture, which means I can step my workouts up a little. George showed me how to use the stairmill, which I loved.

Stair Mill:
20:07 minutes
187.06 calories burned
69 floors climbed

Elliptical:
10:00 minutes (the machine turned off on me!)
90 calories burned
distance: ???

Bike:
22:00 minutes
146 calories burned
3.06 miles

Machines:
shoulder press- 3 x 10 @ 10 lbs
chest press- 3 x 10 @ 10 lbs
lateral raise- 1 x 10 @ 20 lbs, 2 x 10 @ 10 lbs
dual pulley pulldown- 2 x 10 @ 30 lbs

Mini ab-series

I didn't end up getting home until 4, and I was STARVING. I made another strange sandwich: tuna on cinnamon raisin bread with cheddar, lettuce and roasted red peppers.

My dad made another Moosewood soup: Potage à la Bretonne (with leeks, navy beans, oninons, etc). DELICIOUS.

My eyes were bigger than my head, and I only ended up eating about half of the soup. I'm a good full, though!

I've been alternating between Oxygen and MTV. Have you ever seen the dating show "Next"? It is SO HORRIBLE. It promotes the WORST ideals I've ever seen (superficiality, misogyny, you get the idea). Most reality shows are kind of like this, but it's the worst in this genre I've seen. It put me into such a bad mood!

I'm going to go meet Greg for coffee. Have a lovely evening!

I tried that Zone Bar. It was awful. SO BAD! The Honey Graham and Chocolate Caramel Cluster (or something like that???) are DELISH! I haven't eaten them in YEARS but I used to when I was younger and playing tennis 8 hours a day during breaks. They are GREAT fuel!

MTV is always on at the gym and those shows are seriously RIDICULOUS. i dont understand how people actually watch them. I remember waaaaaay back in the day when they actually played music videos.

Ugh - Next is SO HORRIBLY faked too! Where do they come up with these people?!

In my book it's Gala > all other apples any day everyday!
