Take a load off, Fanny

Sorry for the late post, but I decided to take the night off studying to give my brain a break. Time off does a body good!

So, to illustrate how spacey I've been in the last couple days: I couldn't find my lettuce ANYWHERE today, which is too bad because I'd been planning to make a fancy shmancy salad. When it did finally turn up, guess where I found it? The freezer. And guess where I found my Morningstar Farms crumbles? In the pantry. Uh, Katie...? When the lettuce finally thawed, it was droopy and disgusting and absolutely not edible. Sad story.

Lunch (which I ate around 3:30) was a sandwich. On protein bread, I spread half with mustard and half with hummus, topped with alfalfa sprouts, avocado (!), soy turkey and tomatoes. It was pretty darn good.

I also had some grapes.

I'd thought I was going to eat dinner around 7, so I ate the rest of my apricot Clif bar.

Dinner ended up being at 5:30, so I wasn't that hungry. I had a salad with spinach, tomato, cabbage, carrots (and more that I don't remember), topped with a tofu cutlet and mustard/balsamic/olive oil dressing. And a glass of milk that I gulped down way before I remembered to take the picture. The cold makes me thirsty!

Finished it up with a grapefruit.

I went to the release party of our college literary magazine and had a little wine and sake, and three cheese/cracker combos. Oh pepperjack, how I love thee.

I'm winding down the night right now with a navel orange. Don't these blue books make you think awful things? I took one today after my English final (which I actually think went well, thank goodness) to use as an exercise log.

I love you all for getting The Truman Show reference! I used that quote in my sixth grade yearbook. Once a dork, always a dork.... And I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but that movie gave me permanent Big Brother paranoia!

ughh blue books.

my dad is the worst about misplacing things---i always find his coffee cup in the freezer or his glasses in the microwave.

i was super paranoid after the truman show too. then i rationalized that my life is just way too boring for people to want to follow everything i do. oh, but wait...people read my blog which documents my oh-so-boring life and actually (seem) to enjoy it! Dun, dun, dun....the paranoia is back!

oh, and PS. you WIN OFFICIAL LAME-O AWARD for tonight (mainly because you're the only one who wanted it, not because I actually think you're lame). Use it well, and get some work done!!

hahaha that made me laugh! school is getting your brain all confused- lettuce in the freezer and what not.
I do not like Blue Books- oh man! Luckily, in the Department of Education we do not use these! Since we tend to write and write and write- lesson plans and papers and such. I did have to use them in my first few semesters of college though :(
Love that avocado on your sandwich!! Doesn't that seriously MAKE the sandwich? I think so.
Have a wonderful Saturday :)
