So, I may or may not have slept through my doctor's appointment this morning. I called them five minutes before I was supposed to be there, apologized profusely, and they gave me a new appointment at 6 PM tonight. Phew! Then I went back to sleep for almost two more hours. I don't know if this is an effect of not having caffeine, or I'm just tired. I'll see how today plays out in terms of fatigue and evaluate...
For breakfast, I had a nice big bowl of oatmeal.
3/4 cup oats
1/2 cup skim milk
1/3 cup canned pumpkin
5 chopped prunes
1 tsp almond butter
I loved the contribution prunes made to the texture. They're softer and more pillowier than raisins and even apricots, and it was so fun to chew through them. (That kind of makes me sound like Hannibal!)
I probably won't post lunch (which will be late, since this was more like "brunch") until I get back from the orthopedic center. I am hoping they'll give me the okay to do at least some form of exercise... I ran down the street yesterday to escape the cold and it felt so good to get my heart rate up again.
