Behold the giant turkey!

Er, giant Buzz Lightyear. We were at a party on the block where they blow up the balloons:


After my haircut, I met my mom at her work and we went to Cercle Rouge for lunch. It's a cute little French bistro that we've gone to a few times together, because it's so close and tasty! I have to commend myself for not going down the street to American Apparel as I usually do...

I was so tired on the subway home that I fell asleep! Good thing I woke up before my stop.

I had two clemmies in bed...


Caitlin and I met up at Starbucks and had delicious peppermint mochas. I used to get these ALL the time in high school. I asked for it without whipped cream, but they forgot and put it on anyway. I scraped off most of it, but some was stubborn and didn't want to part with my cup.

We took a bunch of photos together, but they all looked so bad! As Caitlin said, "Katie let's face it, we aren't the most photogenic people..." Of the 10+ years we've been friends, we have TWO pictures together that we like, from when she visited me in Paris. But doesn't she look adorable here?



I went to a cocktail party with my parents at one of the most amazing apartments I've been to in New York, with a gorgeous view overlooking Central Park.

I had a glass of white:


Raisin walnut bread, green beans, salad, poached salmon (can't really tell that's what it is here), potato crostata, and a couple olives.


A glass of red (which I drank with a small brownie square and didn't photograph, sorry!):


More raisin walnut bread (hard to beat) with a little camembert smeared on it.


I'm still feeling a little snacky so I might have more food.... There definitely won't be enough tomorrow. Juuuust kidding. Expect baking pics in the AM!
