Say goodbye to Tiny Tim

Greg won't know his MRI results for about a week. I hope it's not too serious, but if it is, that they can fix it quickly... it sounds like he's in a lot of pain.

On a happier note, today was my first day crutch- free! I had pins and needles in my heel at first, since I've mostly been walking on my toe for the last week or so. But I tested it out, and I didn't feel any pain ALL DAY. I'm going to keep my crutches in my car in case I start to feel even the slightest bit of soreness, because after coming this far I don't want to go back! It was very exciting, but it did feel strange to be walking completely on both legs. If there are even any minor complications, I'm going straight back to the crutches.

Lunch was a broiled "bologna"/apple/swiss sandwich, on protein bread. YUM. I had some carrots on the side, but didn't have time to peel them. It's a dangerous life I lead.

Rachel's yogurt:

This is my favorite flavor so far (I know I said that last time, but they just keep getting better!). It was just the right combination of sweet and tart.

Oh, and if you were wondering what happened to the marshmallows that didn't find their way into the garbage can...

It's actually kind of pretty, dontcha think?

I snacked on a Banana Nut Kardea bar and a cup of Coconut Chai tea. Before I get to the product review, let me just say... OH MY GOSH THIS TEA IS AMAZING. I put just the tiniest bit of skim milk in and a little packet of honey, and it tasted like heaven. A heaven that is far, far away from Minnesota. I might have to track this down in stores... I could honestly drink this every single day. I got a refill of hot water (no milk this time) and the tea bag was just as strong the second time. So that's basically like buying two boxes for the price of one... right?

On to the review!

Nutrition Facts are the same as the previous flavors.

This was a very tasty bar. The banana flavor really came out, and the texture of the bar really aided the "banana bread" feel. I liked this better than the Lemon, but not as well as the Chai. I'll buy it again... when I can afford to.

Chai Spice
Lemon Ginger

It was Taco Day in the cafeteria today, so I filled up my plate with tofu taco, veggie refried beans, seasoned brown rice, tomatoes, lettuce, salsa, and a tiny bit of sour cream. This got mushed up into one big mess, but here it is when it still looks nice:

I wanted something else, and saw Carlye making this, so I had one too. Apple with a mixture of PB and honey... delish!

I made a batch of oatmeal raisin/cranberry cookies for my friend Danny which I'm going to send out tomorrow.

Of course, I licked a lot of the batter...

... and had the most delicious dessert EVER (but probably not the healthiest). I mixed some leftover cookie dough into half a cup of Greek yogurt, and crushed up a baked cookie. Uh, yum. I had it with a small glass of apple wine.

My friend Caitlin reminded me yesterday that I have to catch up on my physical journal writing, so I'm going to go do that and get a good night's sleep. Almost Friday!
