Well, not that legend. I watched the 1985 Tom Cruise flick with Jalene last night... oh my goodness, so good, but SO strange. And sorry in advance to the Mia Sara fans, but that girl is distractingly irritating. Sorry, Mia, that was harsh. I tried to photograph my zucchini bread next to the Hellboy-goblin thing, but it didn't come out so well. I ended up eating 1.5 slices, spread with Vanilla yogurt.
This morning I got up, had half a Peanut Butter Cookie Larabar (so good!) and went to the gym. The good thing about the bike is you can read while you ride, so I got some Henry reading done.
I made what turned out to be an enormous bowl of oats, featuring a big scoop of protein powder. Anticipating the distinctive protein powder taste, I tricked this sucker out with tons of goodies to disguise it.
3/4 cups oats
1 1/2 cups skim milk (+ 1/2 cup added after... it was so dry!)
1 scoop protein powder (vanilla), 20 g
1/3 cup frozen cranberries
1 teaspoon flax
1 teaspoon peanut butter
It wasn't horrible. It was really filling, and with all the milk and powder I probably got close to 40 grams of protein. I made a wrap for lunch today with avocado, smoked soy turkey, hummus, a low-fat string cheese, and a drizzle of balsamic.
The wrapping got a little messy...
I packed it along with the rest of my Larabar, and I'll probably try to find a banana somewhere. I think we're getting some moving help this afternoon, so we'll finally have a couch! We've just been using the cushions.... Happy Friday!
