Brisk and Blustery

It was cool this morning on my bike ride to school and not showing up sweating at 9 AM was a nice change. Unfortunately, I believe I now have the flu, so I skipped my afternoon classes and came back home to sleep. Jalene and I both overslept, so rather than the savory oats I've been meaning to make thanks to Kath I had a quick bowl of Special K cinnamon pecan and Kashi Almond Harvest.

I had some extra time before poetry so I went to Coffee News and got a 16 oz skim latte. Kind of a bad move, considering how I was feeling and the taste just didn't agree with me or my stomach.

Megan and I are trying to go to Acme every Wednesday since we're not living together any more. I got the spinach salad sandwich, which is served on wild rice bread with spinach, shredded carrots, onions, mozzarella cheese and Greek salad dressing. Since my stomach isn't feeling great I asked for it with only 1 (instead of 3) slice of cheese, but since Meg and I got the same sandwich and mixed them up I ended up with half at 3 slices, the other at 1.

Max (who was our third roommate) came too, but he got a very meaty hoagie:

I ate half the sandwich then, and the other half around 3 when I woke up from my nap. I took out the onions, which I didn't think would help my stomach any. I need to get some ginger ale and saltines, just like the old days. I wish we had cable (and a TV, for that matter) so I could watch Nick, Jr.!

Katie, why are we the same person? I'm sick, too, and am guzzling down some delicious Cinnamon Spice Tea as I read your blog religiously. Saltines will probably be on my menu tomorrow, although the closest thing to Ginger Ale I can get here is Vernor's! Oh, the midwest. This is great and keep it up - I'm obsessed!
